Francophones are people who speak French – about 200 million in 57 countries. Every March, they celebrate their shared language and diverse cultures in Francophonie Festivals around the world.

The Festival is geared to Atlanta’s diverse community of French speakers and everyone wishing to discover francophone cultures. Offerings from Haiti, African nations, Belgium, France, Quebec and Switzerland are included with film, music, French Immersion days for teachers and students, interactive workshops with playwrights, and a gourmet brunch.



The Atlanta Francophonie Festival is organized by the Consulates General of Belgium, Canada, France, Haiti and Switzerland, the Québec Delegation in Atlanta, the American Association of Teachers of French in Georgia, the Alliance Française of Atlanta, the French American Chamber of Commerce of Atlanta, Atlanta-Accueil and Ecole du Samedi.
