Francophonie Atlanta

Mais oui!

French-speakers invite Atlantans to celebrate the Francophonie Festival March 17 – 31, 2012

Welcome to the 13th Atlanta Francophonie Festival presented from March 17 through March 31, 2012. The multi-cultural event is geared to Atlanta’s diverse community of French-speakers – known as francophones – and anyone wishing to discover the cultures from around the world where French is spoken.

Among the highlights are a Cajun music concert, a performance by the only French-speaking theater troupe in the U.S. – Atlanta’s Théâtre du Rêve, films from Belgium, France, Quebec and Switzerland, and a friendship brunch for families at the St. Regis Hotel and a cartooning workshop including internationally known political cartoonist Plantu. Festival partners include the High Museum of Art, the Rialto Center and Cartooning for Peace.

All events are open to the public and most are free. For details, see the section Francophonie Festival 2012.

The Atlanta Francophonie Festival is organized by the Consulates General of Belgium, Canada, France, Haiti and Switzerland, the Québec Delegation in Atlanta, the American Association of Teachers of French in Georgia, the Alliance Française of Atlanta, the French American Chamber of Commerce of Atlanta, Atlanta-Accueil, École du Samedi and the Théâtre du Rêve.
