The film was great. Now, I would like to see his other films such as Quebec - Montreal.
    Thank you.

I thought it was a great movie. What I liked about it was the plot and the "coming of age" aspect of it since I watched it with my 15 year old daughter. She attended the immersion day and then we topped the evening off with dinner and the Film from Quebec. We both enjoyed it immensely.
For future movie events I think a comedy might appeal to a larger audience than a drama would so I would stay with something light like this year’s movie.
Please pass along my thanks to everybody on the committee for all their work and support. It is great to have them in our city.

Yes, my husband and I did attend both of these films at the Alliance Francaise. We enjoyed them both – they were good choices on your part. They both have a raw emotional truth to them; one does not sense any phoniness, or any attempt to make the viewer feel anything other than the situation at hand. “1981” was enjoyable as a humorous coming-of-age story, with all the angst of adolescent years. “La Petite Chambre” was a touching multigenerational story – with the needs of the young caregiver and her husband, the elderly but still sharp patient and his cold son who wants only to put the father in a home so that he (the son) can get on with his life…Both were so much about our choices…Deeply moving.
Thank you for these events. We hope next year that our schedule will allow us to attend more of the Francophonie Festival events…
